Recently, the biodegradable material PHA of Maidfa Biotechnology has successfully passed the chemical, biodegradability, disintegration and animal and plant ecotoxicity tests of TÜV Rheinland, and then obtained the national standard degradation rate test pass report and the industrial composting certificate and home composting certificate issued by TÜV Rheinland Group and its DIN CERTCO (German Institute for Standardization Certification Center).

Note: The test program includes domestic and international home and international compost testing standards:

A: Degradation rate of China GB/T 19277.1;

B: Industrial Compost Testing Standard EN13432+ASTM D6400+AS 4736;

C: Home compost testing standard AS 5810+NF T 51-800;

It is worth mentioning that in the official test report, in the animal and plant ecotoxicity test items in the degradation ability test, it was found that the disintegration of PHA materials makes the soil more fertile and makes the growth of animals and plants more robust:

1. Comparison chart of plant toxicity test:

The upper plant in the picture uses the blank control group soil, and the lower plant uses the soil with PHA material after disintegration, and the lower plant grows more luxuriantly.

2. Comparison chart of animal toxicity test:

The earthworm on the left is using the soil of the blank control group, the earthworm on the right is using the soil with PHA material after disintegration, and the earthworm on the right is more robust.

This detection phenomenon shows that PHA materials are not only degradable, but also the products in the degradation process are also conducive to the growth of animals and plants in the environment, which is more friendly to the environment.

TÜV Rheinland is a global leader in the field of biodegradable certification, as early as more than 20 years ago, TÜV Rheinland Group's German Institute for Standardization Certification Center (DIN CERTCO) and the European Bioplastics Association jointly developed a certification system for industrially compostable plastics, DIN CERTCO in addition to its own certification services, but also for the European Bioplastics Association, the Australian Bioplastics Association (ABA) and the American Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) and other organizations to provide certified technical assessment services. The Japan Bioplastics Association (JBPA) Greenpla Industrial Composting Certification also incorporates a report from a DIN CERTCO accredited laboratory.

The PHA has successfully passed the degradation ability test at TÜV Rheinland, and if necessary, it can also apply for certification certificates in the United States (BPI), Australia (ABA), and the European Union OK compost with the test report.
